A round natural abalone pearl, a full 12mm across, is the quiet center of this 14K yellow gold pendant. Abalone pearls form inside wild abalone in the cold Pacific waters off Mendocino, California, and they’re among the rarest of all natural pearls. The surface shifts as the light moves over it, throwing soft blues, greens and silvery flashes that change with every angle. No two abalone pearls share the same play of color, so the pendant you receive is one of a kind, handcrafted in the Santa Rosa studio of Richard Lewis.

The warm yellow gold setting frames the pearl simply, letting its iridescence do the talking.
