Rings
Each ring here is handcrafted by Richard Lewis around a single natural stone, so no two come out alike. You’ll find opal rings set with Australian opals from the Coober Pedy and Lambina fields, their play-of-color shifting as you move, alongside vivid Ethiopian opals. There are abalone pearl rings gathered along the Mendocino coast of California, each swirled with blue, green and silver, and a small run of moonstone rings with a soft blue glow.
Stones sit in sterling silver or in solid 14K and 18K gold, often with hand-applied gold accents or a touch of diamond and sapphire. Some are quiet everyday bands, others sit higher on the hand, and they come in a wide range of US sizes. Because every gem is natural and one of a kind, the ring you see is the exact ring you’ll receive.
New to opal or abalone pearl? It helps to read what makes an opal valuable and how abalone pearls form before you choose. For sizing, use the ring size guide, and if you have something specific in mind, Richard also takes custom commissions.
Are these rings really one of a kind? Yes. Each is built around a single natural gem, so the exact ring pictured is the one you receive. How do I care for them? Opal and abalone pearl are soft, organic gems, so wear them gently and keep them away from knocks and chemicals. Here is how to care for opal jewelry.
