Abalone Pearl Ring 11mm in Sterling Silver

This ring holds a natural abalone pearl, found in the cold Pacific waters off Mendocino, California. Its surface carries a swirl of blues, greens and silvers. The pearl is a clean 11mm round, substantial on the hand without overwhelming it. Richard Lewis builds each piece by hand in his Santa Rosa studio, and here he sets the pearl in a simple sterling silver setting that lets the iridescence show.

Because abalone pearls form naturally, no two are alike, so the ring you get is one of a kind. It’s made in solid sterling silver and comes in US ring sizes 3.75 through 7.75. Abalone pearl is a soft, organic gem, so treat it gently: keep it away from perfume, hairspray and household chemicals, skip the ultrasonic cleaner, and store it on its own rather than against harder stones.
