Description
This 11mm round abalone pearl ring works for everyday wear but still holds your eye. The pearl comes from the cold Pacific off Mendocino, California, and shows the swirling blues, greens and silvers that abalone is known for. Richard Lewis makes it by hand in his Santa Rosa studio, with a simple sterling silver setting that frames the stone cleanly and keeps the iridescence in view.
No abalone pearl is ever duplicated by nature, so this one is unique and the finished ring is one of a kind. It’s made in solid sterling silver and comes in US ring sizes 4 through 8. Abalone is an organic, softer gem, so give it a little extra care: avoid perfume, hairspray and household chemicals, steer clear of ultrasonic cleaners, and store it away from harder stones that might scratch it.
