The round 11mm natural abalone pearl in this ring was pulled from the waters of Ocean Cove, California. It carries the iridescence of the Pacific coast: blues, greens and silvers that shift with every movement. This stretch of cold northern California coastline is one of the few places abalone pearls are found, and no two come out alike. Richard Lewis handcrafts each ring in his Santa Rosa studio, so the one you receive is one of a kind.

At 11mm the pearl has a satisfying presence on the hand, and the clean sterling silver setting keeps the look modern while the natural color leads. It’s offered in US sizes 6 through 10. Abalone pearls are organic and relatively soft, so treat yours gently. Keep it away from perfume, hairspray, chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners, and store it apart from harder stones.
