Description
This is a small, delicate ring, built around a round 8mm natural abalone pearl gathered from the cold Pacific waters off Mendocino, California. At this size the pearl sits close to the finger and catches the light in soft flashes of blue, green and silver as you move. Richard Lewis hand-builds each piece in his Santa Rosa studio, and because no two abalone pearls are alike, the one you receive is genuinely one of a kind.
The clean sterling silver setting frames the stone without crowding it, which makes it a comfortable everyday ring or a quiet accent stacked alongside others. It comes in US ring sizes 5 through 9. Abalone pearls are organic gems and should be handled gently: keep yours away from perfume, hairspray and household chemicals, skip ultrasonic cleaners, and store it apart from harder stones to protect its natural surface.
