Description
A round 12mm natural abalone pearl sits at the heart of this ring, glowing with the shifting blue, green and silver found in these rare Pacific gems. It was harvested from the chilly coastal waters off Mendocino, California. Each abalone pearl carries its own swirl of iridescence, so the stone here will never be exactly repeated. Richard Lewis makes every piece by hand in his Santa Rosa workshop, which makes this ring one of a kind.
A simple sterling silver setting lets the generous 12mm pearl lead, its surface seeming to change with the angle of the light. The ring comes in US sizes 4.5 through 8.5. As with all organic pearls, a little care keeps it looking its best. Avoid perfume, hairspray, household chemicals and ultrasonic cleaners, and tuck it away from harder stones when you’re not wearing it.
