Pendants
These pendants are built around larger stones. You’ll find big opal pendants, freeform and pear-cut, from Coober Pedy, Lambina and Andamooka, some well past four carats and one over six. Alongside them are natural abalone pearl pendants from the Mendocino coast, set in warm 14K yellow gold. Many have diamond accents or a single sapphire, and some hang from white-gold bails for a two-tone look.
Every pendant is handcrafted by Richard Lewis around a single natural gem, so the color in an opal or the sheen on a pearl is unique to that piece. Opal and pearl are soft, organic gems, and a pendant keeps them on display and off the hand, where they are less likely to take a knock.

Abalone Pearl Pendants (10)
Each abalone pearl pendant is handcrafted by Richard Lewis around a natural abalone pearl from the Mendocino coast of California. Abalone pearls are among the rarest natural pearls, every one with its own swirl of blue, green and silver, so no two pendants match. They are set in warm 14K yellow gold, several with diamond accents or a single sapphire, and a few hang from white-gold bails. Shapes run across round, oval, pear and cushion, from smaller stones to bold pieces near 19mm. Abalone pearls are soft, organic gems, so keep yours away from perfume, hairspray and household chemicals, and store it apart from harder stones. The pendant you see is the exact one-of-a-kind piece you'll receive. These pearls come from wild abalone and take years to form, which is part of what makes them so scarce. Opal Pendants (17)
Every opal pendant here is handcrafted by Richard Lewis around a single natural opal, so each one is different. Most are Australian opals from Coober Pedy, Lambina and Andamooka, with the play-of-color those fields are known for, along with a few bright Ethiopian opals. They run from around two carats up past six, in pear, freeform, oval and drop shapes, set in 14K yellow gold. Many have a diamond accent or a small diamond bezel, and some hang from white-gold bails for a two-tone look. Opal is a soft stone, so wear it gently and keep it away from hard knocks and ultrasonic cleaners. Because each opal is one of a kind, the pendant you see is the one you'll receive.
