Description
The 12mm round stone in this abalone pearl ring has real presence on the hand, though it stays comfortable to wear. It was gathered from the cold Pacific off Mendocino, California, and it glows with the layered blue, green and silver iridescence natural abalone is known for. Richard Lewis handcrafts each ring in his Santa Rosa studio, framing the pearl in clean sterling silver so your eye goes straight to the shifting color.
Abalone pearls grow one at a time in the wild, so this one’s pattern can’t be repeated and the ring is one of a kind. It’s made in solid sterling silver and comes in US ring sizes 4.25 through 8.25. Abalone is an organic gem on the softer end of the scale, so handle it kindly. Keep it away from perfume, hairspray and household chemicals, never run it through an ultrasonic cleaner, and store it apart from harder stones.
