Two sapphires bracket a natural abalone pearl in this handcrafted ring, their steady blue playing against the pearl’s restless shimmer. The 8mm round abalone pearl was found off Mendocino, California, one of the rarest natural pearls and never repeated in its swirl of blue, green and silver. The pair of round sapphires totals 0.12 carat at 2.8mm each, and they nestle within hand-engraved 18K yellow gold accents whose worked detail catches the light beside the smooth pearl.

Set in sterling silver, the ring balances cool metal, warm engraved gold and that flash of sapphire blue around its iridescent center. Richard Lewis makes each one by hand, so the piece you receive is one of a kind. It comes in US ring sizes 4.5 to 8.5.
