Description
A 1.68-carat round Australian opal, 9mm across, sits at the center of this handcrafted ring, its material drawn from the Lambina field of South Australia. The stone holds a restless play-of-color that flickers through warm and cool tones as you move, so the ring changes with the light. There are no surrounding stones, so nothing distracts from the opal itself.
The opal is cradled in sterling silver accented with 14-karat yellow gold, a finish that warms the cooler metal and frames the stone with a touch of gold light. It comes in US ring sizes 5.5 to 9.5. Richard Lewis makes it entirely by hand, so it’s one of a kind. Since opal is relatively soft and suits gentle wear, avoid hard knocks and ultrasonic cleaners and clean it only with a soft, damp cloth.
